Dark hair help?

i want highlights of a vibrant color, pink, orange, green, blue, etc.

the catch is my parents will only allow me to use semi-permanent hair dye and i cant bleach it at all. :[

what color will look/ show up the best?

where can i find this type of product?

i know its hard to dye without bleaching, but any help is greatly appreciated!

I have dark hair and I had the same problem. The color that worked in my hair was red it was the only one I could get to show up and I got it from HOT TOPIC I think it was called RAGE. But they have it in a lot of different colors and it was the only one that worked for me and lasted the longest.

Any neon color would look great in dark hair.

the darker the colour your aiming for the greater effect it will have on your own dark hair..... try purple or blue

I would go with a bright blue or green cuz pink and purple might not show up... good luck i bet i9t will look sweet

you can try purple.......the other colors wont show up on dark hair. sally's has colors as well as torrids good luck

Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get the products called punk. They work on all sorts of hair color. I would say purple or orange would dye best and show up.Try the website too. You will probably have to go to the store though to find exactly what you want.

well im assuming you have brown hair because of your avatar...so i think you should keep darker colors, or reddish colors that way if you dont like it, its not very noticeable. just go to Sally's beauty store, they have everything

There are certain highlights which are just for dark hair, orange or blond should show up the best i think.

Hey well dat sucks dat u cant bleach it. If you have black hair you know its not gonna show up right, but, if you have dark brown i wold say pink or blue the other ones are just so exotic.

well you can either save up money and sneak into a hair salon and dye your hair.or

jsut look ont he color slip that tells you how i will prob turn out and since you have darker hair leave it in longer than it should be.

Okay, I've got magenta hair right now and I didn't bleach it. I got dye from Sally's that is for dark hair only -- I think it's Revlon -- and mixed 30 and 40 strength developer. If you use dye made for dark hair, it should work fine.

Alas, the dye I used only comes in natural colors (+ magenta, for some reason...). So I don't really know....

I have dark hair (obviousily) and when I first went to the beauty salon I wanted some highlights. I actually got "Ash Blonde" highlights. It actually looked good with my dark hair, believe it or not. My hair looked like a brown color when really I just had put some highlights on it. My advice is to ALWAYS get it done by a professional. I never do my own hair when it comes to colors and chemicals because I am not a hair expert. So, I would recommend you get your hair done at a salon then buying a cheap box of dye from the convenient station.

Conair has this great product. i tried it and it works. it's called conair pro color accents, and it comes in lots of different colors and washes outin the shower. the color comes in cartreges and you put it itno this hair styler and run it through your hair. check conair.com. or for a cheaper version of that, buy the bratz pro color hair accents. it is just like the conaire thing, but the colors are more vibrant and it costs less. you would find the bratz one in most Toys R Us stores. the bratz hair color also washes out easily.

If you have dark hair I would stay away from Orange, becasue it will look like Halloween. Dark hair goes good with blue. If I were you I would choose Blue and Pink.

At the Safe Way grocery stores they have these shelfs with clearence items. THere are hair coloring kits for about $4 that are not perminant. I have seen the colors, purple, pink, and blue. THey also have natural colors like brown, blonde, black ext.

well pink at the tips of your hair is really "in" right now. you can make koolaid with half as much water as normal and soak the tips of your hair in it for 15 min. It will stay pink for like a month If you decide you dont like it, you can always just cut a few inches off your hair and no one will ever know.

Products like color pulse by Loreal are available wherever most hair dye is sold. It is very semi-permanent (I believe it might be wash out) and comes in all the colors you mentioned. Other than that, I have dark hair and used purple dye in the past, showed up really well. Don't have experience with any of the other colors, sorry.

unfortunately, semi permanent color doesn't lift.

probably you cannot see any of vivid color on your dark hair...

well i would go with blue because i have dark hair but i dyed mine so... i would go with blue i did it for Halloween and it look awesome lol :)
