I have really dark hair and i want to get purple highlights. what do i have to do?

i have no experience with highlights and i don't know anything about them. would purple highlights on dark hair turn out purple or would it not show up? i know it wouldn't with dye but i'm not sure about highlights.

ok it involves a little bit more work..you need to bleach where you want the purple and then re dye the bleached area purple!

It wouldn't show up, so you have to bleach the spots where you want to put the highlights, and then dye the purple in where the bleach highlights are. (:

it will show up but you will have to bleach the bits you want to dye first and take extra care with them, like condition them all the time ova wise your hair will just go abit frazzled at the ends and well dry.

i dyed the underneath of my hair purple and it was fine but i have browny gingery hair so its abit lighter but ask your hairdresser first what they think.. but if your doing it yourself be careful with the bleach side cos it can snap if you do it too much and too long. trust me seen it happen when i worked in a hairdressers..

Pull it thru a cap light n first then go back with the desired color you want it is real easy
