Long hair for priests?

Just found this...So catholic priests follow bishops (may be pope) not the bible? Should they say that priests must have curly long hair, then?

The issue of whether a priest has to wear long hair or not is between him and God. Any religious order which imposes a regulation which stipulates that he must have long or short hair is in opposition to God. The Lord Jesus had a problem with the pharisees because they set aside the laws of God for the sake of their man made rules. The scripture in 1 Corithians 11:14 needs clarity. The apostle Paul used the term "long hair", but it is not in reference literally to a man having long hair like a woman. But rather the term "long hair" is in reference ( in the greek) to one having the authority of a woman. Paul wrote this because their were some households where the women became the heads and the husbands took the position of the wife. And it is a dishonor to God if a man not take his rightful place in his house hold, because he has perverted the ordained order of Go. If a man walked down the street wearing daisy dukes and switching and acting like a woman. Nature itself would tell you that a man should not act like that. So, God does not have a problem with hair, long or short, unless you are suggesting you are the opposite sex.

wow, i find that kinda funny b/c the school i go to is a christian private school and the rules are too strict. such as hair length. my hair should be above the eyebrows even though i would prefer it right at my eye lvl.. ppl ask why and the teachers would give them the response w/ that verse 1Cor 11:14 and others i think. now a priest has long hair. interesting

The priests of Jesus of the Roman rite should have short hair or be even shaved. The priests of Jesus of the Byzantine rite may have long hair.
