Alright, tomorrow my friends and i are going to dye my hair with as many colors as possible. i have a medium shade of brown hair so what are some colors that would actually show up in it. And anyway how much does hair dye cost?
anything darker would show up really nice, to get a lighter color you need to leave it in longer, or get a bleach first*

drug store hair dye is usually about 7 to 12 bucks a pop. But Revlon ColorSilk seems to be like 3.99 no matter where I go. On your color hair, the very dark shades and very light shades will show up the most. Using the blonde dye though will most likely give you orange hair since it's hard to dye hair blonde unless you're using a specific bleaching kit. Not sure what kinda look you're going for but hope it works out, and have fun!
My hair is the same shade as yours. I love Nice'n Easy's 3-colored blonde highlights. It comes out beautiful, and at WalMart I think it was about $7. Have fun and good luck!! :)
don't dye your hair as many colors as possible.try to make it look natural but still visible.try honey blonde ; i had brown hair and i got honey blonde highlights and i love it.it looks amazing.the cost of it depends on where you buy it.if you buy it at like cvs or something it will cost around $15.

If you have a medium shade of brown hair, then most likely awide variety of colors would show up. Colors such as a light blonde/yellow would show up best. But if you would like as many colors as possible, then even pinks and almost any other color would show up. And about the cost; if you we're going to a profesional salon to get it dyed, it would be any price from 100 dollars and up. However, if you were to buy the do it yourself kits, they should be maximum 15 dollars at a retailer. Hope I helped! =]
Lol make sure it's not permanent hair dye. Pretty much any color you want to put in will show up just don't do anything that doesn't match and i would go with highlighting don't do your whole head a hundred times with different colors.

I could tell you that no bright bold colors will show up unless you bleach your hair first, which by the way is very damaging and unhealthy for your hair. No lighter shades will show up at all unless they are bleached first. If you have dark hair it's really hard to get a bright color to hold to your hair or even show up so my suggestion would be to leave your hair alone. Once you dye it 480282 colors - your hair will feel coarse and it will take some major time to fix it!

i use a neutrogena moisture conditioner, not sure what it's called, but it's purple. Then, when I wash it out in the shower, I immediately flip my head over and start squeezing water out carefully and scrunching. Then do the scrunching with a towel, and then scrunch with mousse. Dry using a diffuser attachment on your blowdryer. I hope it works! Don't scrunch when it starts to dry because that will make it frizzy!

A lot will depend on your hair style and your tools.
Try this.....after showering, use curling gel in hair, then use Largest curlers you can find and let your hair dry - no blow dryer. When you take the curlers out, don't use a brush or comb on your hair, scrunch your hair. Then finger comb your hair.

You know woggles that kids play with in the pool, long bits of floating foam, well they're like smaller versions of them that roll in, then you bend them to the shape of your head to secure them at the top. Mabye you should get a perm. Ask a professional hair stylist.
Also try putting curlers in wet hair with gel, then blow drying, then use a comb to put it in desired position then hair spray.

Hmmm. They have several different products for this. My sis uses 'Tigi'. All you have to do is loosely massage it into your hair while it's wet, and then let it dry naturally. If this doesn't work, just try using a curling iron.
Have you ever heared of a straightening iron that has a little bump, (or wave) on the inside? You would score big with that! All you need to do is take a straightener and bigger sections of hair and pull down, THEN back to get the soft, wavvy look. If you still don't achive the look you want, take a large curling iron and curl under the ends slightly, then straighten. Remember to use hairspray and this style works SO much better on longer hair!

Hi. i have done a hair dresses course when i was in year 10 and that is what we would call a soft perm many of my friends have had streght hair and have gone into a hair dresses salon and asked for a soft perm and it has really worked for them. It unlikely that doing it youself will give you that effect especially if you dont have much hair experience. Take these pics into your local hair dresser and i ask for a soft perm that will turn out like them . goodluck.
My hair is naturally black. I just tried to dye it red/auburn, but it didn't work. It's my first time dying it. I did what the box told me, I put the paste stuff on my hair, I sat and waited for an hour... but my hair is still pure jet black. How come it never worked? Is it because this is my first time?

I believe if your hair is that dark, you need to bleach it before dying it.
black hair is nearly impossible to dye.... you are basically putting color on what you already have and if you put sumthing on black it wont show...
the only thing i would suggest is getting a color MUCH lighter than you want... that might be enough to take your hair a lil lighter and reddish
also the semi perminant does have soemthing to do with it...

The colour wasn't strong eonough for your hair. You should get it professionally stripped ( don't just bleach it as your hair can and will fall out) and then put a colour over the top, otherwise you could try a permanent hair colour and leave it on longer than it says howver you have to wait at least a week or you willstress your hair and cause it to break

You have to bleach it first, I'm an Asian with blonde hair. I had to leave my peroxide on for about 60-90 minutes. Because, black is the darkest color, you WILL not be able to just dye it simply, it needs to be weakened to a lighter color. I recommend going to the hair salon and getting it proffesionally done especially if you have never seen anyone do it before.
I'm no expert, so please check this out first. I think because it is non permanent hair dye, it probably does not have any peroxide. Peroxide bleeds out your natural color from the hair and then the dye color redeposits where the natural color used to be. (That's what my friend, a hairdresser, told me years ago) Most, if not all, haircolors have a phone number you can call on the box or listed on the instructions. Call that number, they can tell you more.
Your hair probably is reddish, but you won't see it until you're in the sunlight or intense light.
Your hair is very dark, therefore it cannot grab the colour. Your base colour will be the black. What you will see is a red sheen or highlight to the hair.
Unfortunatly you will need to find a hair dying product that will work on dark hair, often red or auburn such as you used will not work on such dark hair as i have tried it before. Next time leave it in over time than the instructions say, it should help to keep it in. it's hard to colour the jet black hair. Especially if you do it at home... and the colour that you used it non-permanent... it wont show anything to your hair.... unless you have light hair colour.
But you can try to colour it again with permanent colour, and follow the instruction....
tip: buy the bright auburn colour, so when you apply it to your black hair,it still show the colour... it wont be too bright...

I have thick hair and I like it long, though it's currently short until I can find a good, long hair style that works for men with thick hair. I honestly cannot find any, but I know there are. What few long hair styles I can find are for men with thin hair.

This is driving me crazy. It was a very teenie bopper type show, the narrator/star was a guy with dark blonde hair gelled, and slicked down flat. He had an annoying evil little sister who was always out to get him in trouble. He had a best friend with dark hair, who always poofed up his hair in that 21 jumpstreet type way. The main thing I remember is that the guys would say "Synchronize your Swatches!" . The show was named for the main character.

Do you really have to bleach your hair before you put it on? What if i don't bleach my hair and still apply it? will it still show? I got a purple shade ("Purple Passion") but im not sure if i really wanna bleach my hair just for temporary color. My hair is a dark brown color and i've never dyed it before.
Beyond the Zone is a crap brand of temporary hair color. I would return it and get something else immediately. Their bleach is wonderful, but the color is absolute junk. Try getting Punky Professional (also available at Sally's), special effects, or raw (the last two are at Hot Topic). All of these work well and have very nice deep purples.
If you have dark brown hair and don't bleach you will get a purple kind of shine to your hair (if it takes at all). It will not be very noticible and no one will say "Oh you dyed your hair purple."
If you want your hair to really look purple you are going to have to bleach it. For purple to look nice and rich you don't have to bleach your hair super light blonde. You can take your hair to a light orange and the purple will look fine. This will save you some damage on your hair and time bleaching. If you want a screaming bright purple then you will need to go as blonde as your hair will get.
Assuming you got a better brand of dye than Beyond the Zone, it is worth bleaching your hair. The other brands will stay in for a few weeks and even longer with regular touch ups. Leave your purple dye on and wrap it up in plastic (i wear a shopping bag on my head) This will keep the dye moist.
You can then sit around the house a few hours or even go to sleep. Rinse your purple when you get bored. The longer you leave the dye on the longer it will last. Keep your hair well conditioned and don't wash it more than you really need to. Both of these will keep your purple brighter and lasting longer.
If you really want purple, then you're going to have to bleach. If you get tired of it you can always dye it to your natural color or you can try another temporary like red or blue.

1.) I suggest you dye your hair a dark auburn. This color is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have it right now. It is close to medium brown but more sexy.
2.) As of now, short layers are in. Have your layers really short and with some sideswept bangs it'll look HOT! However if you want long layers that is also good. I would always prefer the bangs.
3.) Well get some highlights!

hmm, what i suggest is that you leave your hair red! not a lot of people have red hair these days! so that's why you stand out from the crowd! which is a good way to look attractive!
If your hair is the color in your avatar, it's a nice shade and I suggest you do a Celophane or some kind of glossing to enhance it because it goes beautiful with your skintone.
Another suggestion is getting some chunky highlights that will complement your strawberry blonde tones rather than coloring your whole head.
Remember, that whatever you choose to do, you have to adjust your makeup colors to go with the hair or the new color can wash you out.

ok, so, I have long long long long curly hair. But there's so much of it, and its so thick, that the curls don't show, there just waves. So I'm planing to get, like, 3-4 inchs of; get it layered, and get my bangs cut in a diagnol across my face. So it's kind of like an emo cut on long hair. i used murray's when i went out to a show (full of greasers) so i did my hair and i wanna know whats the easiest way to wash it off...
Hot water, shampoo (neutrogena is good, but any that is for oily hair should work)
If you think it still isn't out, try some lemon juice: juice, rinse, shampoo, rinse, juice, rinse, CONDITION (don't forget that part).

Have to agree with the electrolysis. I wouldnt use hair removal cremes, you might end up with a horrible burn.

electrolysis is the only thing to get it done permanently but it hurts like a mofo. sugar waxing works well to keep the hair growing back very slowly and more fine. over time it may stop growing back.
I say- get your hormones checked. Are you pregnant or post-partum? Do you have hair between the breasts? A receding hairline? Facial hair? Heavy menses? talk to yur doctor to rule out a hormonal problem.
Once you did that, then electrolysis (altough extremely painful at that site) is the only method claimed to be permanent if done correctly and on the right person (Alot of people do not realize that these conditions are often not met). Laser will drastically reduce the hair follicle but may be difficult because of the pigmentation of the areola (area around the nipple).
Don't worry about the comments- It's often normal to have excess body hair. I'm a doctor and see thisngs like that all the time. Howver, look into some of the things I said to make sure there isnt anotehr problem.
Well, you can pluck them with tweezers (YOW!) or you can visit a clinic that'll remove them with electrolysis. Be aware that they'll grow back either way - but those removed via electrolysis will stay gone a lot longer. If there're only a few hairs there, you might consider just leaving them alone. Nobody other than your infant child when nursing, or one's husband or lover needs to see your nipples anyhow, right? Most guys don't consider a few hairs there to be objectionable - and if you know a guy who does, you need a new guy!

Many Presidents have donned traditional attire of various countries they have visited. This is a non-issue. Sadly, some people try to make an issue out of everything.
Yesterday I dyed my hair for the first time ever. I used L'Oreal Ultra Light Golden Brown from the True Brunette line. My hair is naturally curly and dark brown with some hints of red in some areas. I also relaxed it over a year ago so I have only 3 or 4 inches left of relaxed hair. Long story short, I lightened it with this product but missed some spots in the roots, so my hair is now reddish chocolate/mahogany with some uneven roots that show. Is there any way to fix this? Which product should I use? I heard about the L'Oreal Toner but I don't have experience with this. I also heard about using demi-permanent hair color. Is there any way to lighten my hair without getting it flaming red or orange? I'm looking for a color like Shakira (the singer =) ) If any I just want to fix those roots. Help!
Stylist here. Unfortunately I don't think this sounds like an easy fix and I agree you should go to the salon. You made some common mistakes and for a pro it shouldn't be hard to fix, but too difficult to do to yourself.
Your mistake is that you applied the color to your whole head all at once and by yourself I assume. It's easy to miss spots when doing your own and sometimes you need more color than what's in one box to get hair really saturated with color for even results. Plus, when lightening hair you got to apply color to the hair nearest your scalp last since body heat helps the color process faster.
Without seeing your hair I'd say you'll need to go back in with color and lighten the spots that are darker and then put a color over all of it to tone it down and even out what's left of the spots. It would be too hard to do to yourself. See a pro.

with uneven color, it's very hard to fix on your own, and i wouldn't even attempt it. you just never know what color it would end up turning out.

I had cheap extensions sewn in for my wedding/honeymoon and they were OK but that's when I was on vacation. For someone who is not dedicated to spending a lot of time primping on a daily basis (me) are they worth all that money for the good ones? I was quoted a bit under $1000 which is bukoo bucks but worth it considering my love for long hair. I guess my major concern is whether or not I will be able to throw it up in a pony tail or put on a hat on the days that I don't want to do my hair. Will it still look real and beautiful or will it show at the roots and be a ratty mess? Thanks for your input!
I have the "Great Lengths" ones and they're very, very good quality, although they were expensive ($1200) they'll last a long time (this is my second set) and they don't show - I pull my hair back all the time %26amp; just wore an updo to a party, and it brushes out beautifully. Some days I curl it %26amp; others I don't, but it always looks great - strangers stop me on the street to comment on my hair and it doesn't look fake at all. It's a bit more care than your own hair, but still not that much. Go for Great Lengths - they're the best

I went tonight to get my hair cut short (had pic in hand to show HOW i wanted it, well that's not what I got) I do not know what to do with my hair, how to style it nothing. I am VERY hair challenged, only thing I am good at is ponytails.Here's what I am up against. OK the hair closest to my neck is the shortest at about 2in. the top is about 4in. (it hits the top of my cheek bone) But the change in length is not gradual it goes from being about 2in all the way to top of my head and theres a 4in. layer sitting on top of it. She also gave me "side swept" bangs that are to short to do them side swept and too long to do straight across forehead. My hair is SUPER EXTREMELY thick. (i cant stress that enough) I think it would be cute if I could have the back tossled kinda flipped out and teh top layer flat ironed, I can't figure out how to do that (flip) and when I tried flat ironing the whole thing since top too short it looks HORRIBLE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. Holidays coming :-((
Flipping out with a straightener should work no matter the length at the top. Just take it layer by layer starting with the longest. Put the rest up into a half pony so you can easily access it, then let a little down and do that, then a little more, and so on. If the straightener isn't working out for you buy some type of styling wax (I suggest garner fructis) and take piece by piece and mold it the way you want the hair to go. Take the ends and pull them outward, take the top layer and pull it straight down. Remember, it will take practice. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't work at first. PRACTICE IS KEY. I saw a show, I think on FX, about 10 years ago, an episode of NYPD Blue, where Andy Sipowicz is being confronted by an Angel (I think he's having a dream) about his dead son. I think he's arguing with the Angel, about his son coming back, and then the Angel points out his hypocrisy to Andy, showing him that he just gave him a chance to bring his son back, but Andy refused to accept him, so he didn't. Something like that? That was the best episode of one of the best shows ever on Television. I think the Angel had blond hair, and was white. But he looked human. Maybe he was supposed to be God?

I have prematurely graying hair and have been having it color in a salon for several years. I have been having to get it colored every 3 weeks because my gray shows through in fact it starts to show through in about 10 days. Could this be because the hair color product my stylist is using isn't good or could it be my hair grows that fast? She uses a light brown/dark blonde color. I used to have very dark brown hair so we've lightened it up considerably from my natural shade so that the roots don't show so much. It's getting very expensive to have my hair colored every 3 weeks so my question is, is there a good hair color product that I can apply myself?
ask your stylist to get "grey b gone" it is a new developer that can be used with any color products! only your stylist will be able to get it ! i use it in the salon i work at and it is an amazing products and you should only need to color your hair once every 4 to 6 weeks good luck!
i'm not a hairdresser, but if it's just your roots showing through they make hair mascaras for a temporary touch up (will wash out in the shower) or they now make kits that are designed specifically for roots ( i don't know the exact brand but it's one of the big ones and it says root touch up in the name). But if grey is showing through in the lenght of your hair, the dye could be fading. you might want to try getting a color protective shampoo and conditioner. or try a color depositing shampoo and conditioner. artec makes good ones, they are pricey, but you only use them a couple of times a week to "touch up"
Rachel sounds right on. I use Nioxin Protective Cleanser and Protective Scalp Therapy on my own hair on the advice of my hair colorist. When she does my hair it lasts at least 6 weeks.
Since last March 17 I've let my color alone just to see what I've got. Most of the old colored hair has been cut off, but I still have some left over reddish-blonde that looks like highlights. My own color is dark with some gray, esp. in front. I have been known to use a regular eye mascara on the "gray" around my face when it was growing back in. I do think that salon coloring is better for your hair. For home shampooing and conditioner, the Nioxin products make your hair look very healthy.
Ask your stylist if they are using a permanent color or a temporary color. That will make a world of difference. A temp. will fade alot faster. Also a red color always fades faster!

yeah i agree, layers would be the best way to go, i recomend choppy layers. your hair is weighed down because of the thickness and the length
and possible longer side swept bangs, not curled
and maybe try parting your hair to the side a bit

You definitely need some layers. Get short layers on top and make the layers longer through out the rest of your hair, as it goes down, also ask them to thin it out so it takes a way some of the thickness. Then top it off with some cute side or front bangs and you should be good to go :)

Well i have realllyy straight hair thats like an inch or two below my collar bone in length. I use a straightener dailey to get rid of the frizzys that show up but im getting sick of having my hair always straight. I had it curled with a medium curling iron so that by the time i went out it was big full curls. I lovedd the way my hair looked that night but i can never get my hair to stay without getting it professionall done.
I tried scrunching but in 2 hours it falls flat or into a big poof. I never can get it to stay no matter how much gel or hairspray i use. My hair is semi thick... could this be the problem

If you like the very feminine loose wave look and you want it to hold; the best solution is a body wave perm. It will last a couple of months %26amp; it's very easy to do yourself using ' large' rollers. The best part is it wont limp on you by days end.

the same thing happened with me its because you have hard water. dont worry though i have VERY thick hair too so what you have to do is get (when it gets flat) sun silk (that works the best) and use a curling iron and extra strength hair spray (its more expensive but totally worth it!) you can buy this at cvs. also use a corcle brush if it doesnt work then youll be able to curl your hair without a curling iron. hope this helps
well you should use a mouse instead of a gel. gel has too much alcohol in it that can dry your hair out. use a mouse made for curly hair. when i get outta the shower and want my hair curly i comb it out using a wide tooth comb then i put my head upside down and apply the products i am using, stil with my head upside down, i blow dry it using a diffuser, but i dont dry it all the way. just enough to have it mostly dry. then if your blowdryer has a "cool" button use that right at the end. it will help set the curl. then add a little hairspray and hopefully it should work if not...you could always get a body wave perm.
Wash your hair the night before. Also wash your hair every other day its better for your hair. Then you wont have such a problem with your hair not staying on the days it isnt washed. Also if it bothers you to not wash every day on the days you dont wash condition.

It last for a few months, depending on your hair style, growth, and all that. The lady that invented the sheers lives here in the same town as I do and the school is here too. So it is an actual cut, and the way it is cut, with the certain scissors. You can look on that site, or call around where you live to see who has been certified to do it. There are products that you can use like setting lotions that you put in your hair before you roll it or curl it. It make the curls stay long and gives the hair a silky look and feel. You can get it at any hair store.
I am a guy who was asked by a GF to model in a college fashion show this weekend. Two girls responsible for hair and makeup of the models have asked me to visit them tomorrow night so they can "assess my colors" and "practice" on me. Do male models (on catwalks) normally wear make up? What kind of make up will I have to wear? Or do you think they will just skip it?
if your a model your probobly cute and the girls are most likely inviting you over becuase of that. But if they really are inviting you over for practicing the makeup, dont worry its not gonna be like lipstick or eyeshadow. If anything, itll be concealer, so your face will be even or foundation. But if its matched right, you wont be able to tell, and in most shows, guys have to wear it.
i do runway makeup, and trust me you will be happy they put the makeup on you when you see your photographs. usually i do concealor and bronzer to contour the face and add some life under the bright lights. a little mascara in a natural brown at the tips of the lashes too. it will all wash off easily and look natural ... don't worry!

Well if you really want your hair like this, then here's what to tell her:
Very short, heavily layered hair with far parted side bangs, and the bottom layer not cut. Jet black.
But your hair would have to be really long for this, the girl in the pic is most likely wearing extensions for the bottom layer of her hair.
As they cut you hair describe to them in detail what you want it to look like.
Even if you were to describe the haircut in great detail using haircutting terminology that the stylist is familiar with, you could still end up with something entirely different than what you pictured. We all see things differently in our minds eye. It's far better to have a picture of what you want.
If you are unable to print out the picture, there are a couple of things you can do.
You might copy the picture onto a disk, take it to Walmart or some other photo place and have it printed out. If you don't want to or can't do that, then call the salon you're interested in and ask them if they have an internet connection. Most businesses do. If they do, just give them the link when you make your appointment so they can view the picture for themselves.
You can't pull that cut off without bringing in a picture. Describing it won't be enough.

I have natural hair kind of like Joan's (tracee ellis ross) from the show Girlfriends but I get more compliments when my hair is pressed straight. When it's natural I get more compliments from White gentlemen than Black. Your take?
just don't change the hair color, it depends on the woman. some look better with natural hair, others look better with straight. if you ever have the time and maybe a friend or 2 to help, you could have a style party. take turns doing up the others hair and take a pix of each hairdo, then decide for yourself.

Contrary to what another user has said, DO NOT use Pantene Pro-V. It contains a wax that will make your hair shiny and smooth...for a short while. Then the wax will begin to build up, making your hair weighed down and disgusting (my hair stylist told me to STAY AWAY from this!)
What I do with my hair is I wash and condition my hair every other day (my hair is naturally on the dry side, so to wash every day would make it completely dried out.) If your hair is dry, wash every other day. DO NOT wash it every day. Any hairstylist will tell you this. If, however, you have oily hair, then every day washing is fine. Be sure to use a shampoo and conditioner made for you hair type. Do not use a moisturizing shampoo on oily hair. I tend to lean towards the "Bed Head" line. It isn't that expensive (especially when you buy the larger "liter size" bottles) and my hair has never looked bettter (I use "Moisture Maniac" shampoo and conditioner for my dry hair.) Then, I towel dry and spray a heat protector spray and comb through. Don't overdo it. Too much of any product will leave you with greasy hair. There are many different types of heat protectants, ranging from just a couple of dollars to the more expensive lines. I use Alberto V05 Heat protectant spray. It's under 5 bucks and works just as well as the 20 dollar sprays. I then use a round, metal barrel brush to blow dry my hair as straight as I can get it. Be sure to use a low or medium heat setting and keep the dryer moving, don't let it sit in one spot for too long. When your hair is still partially damp, I use my flat iron, which is a Vidal Sassoon Wet to Straight iron. Many companies make these, and I believe I paid about 20 bucks for mine. It has holes along the top and will dry your hair, leaving it unbelieveable soft, shiny, and straight.
When I'm done with that (and by the way, I pull my hair back and do one small section at a time. I, like you, have thick and wavy hair.) I use a frizz buster/shine spray. Be careful with this, as spraying too much can cause your hair to look greasy! Spray lightly all over your hair, and if needed, you can spray a light misting of hairspray to "set" the style. (For a shine spray, I recommend Paul Mitchell's "The Shine", but there are plenty of these available anywhere at different price ranges.)
It's a process but this is what I do with my hair. Also, as long as you don't have product buildup, your hair will actually be in good shape the day after you do this. Every other day (the days I don't wash my hair), I ust quickly run my flat iron anywhere that isn't straight, and it looks just as good as the day before. ALSO, a deep conditioner once a week is a must. All of these products and heat styling can wreak havok on your hair, if you don't treat your hair properly.

But seriously, my daughter has wavy hair and I have straighted hers before with a hair dryer, vented hairbrush and a straightening balm (there are loads of brands...I have garnier here) It takes a lot of time, though.

first off i have the herstyler hair straightener also, the colorful seasons one i have a pink one..anywho my hair gets shiney/straight/smooth wen i straighten it...first of all i shampoo/condition it with aussi shampoo and aussi conditioner, i use the MOIST conditionar i dont think it matters really..
i usually shower at night and dont dry my hair but if you dry it with a hair dryer it is much smoother/shinier
then when i wake up or whatever i straighten my hair and its usually pretty good

Your iron may not be one of the best. If you can get some straightening shampoo, like S Factor by Tigi, that helps smooth your hair. There are also straightening styling products.....I say after you flat iron, get you some Silk Therapy or Silk Infusion, I know you said not top dollar but I swear by that stuff, it is sooo worth the money. If not try to get you a cheaper serum that makes hair soft and shiny and takes away frizzies.

People have given me sites to hair styles, but I honestly cannot choose something that would look good on me because of course it looks good on the person modeling it and such. My eyes are hazel-and more green than brown -- im saying this because I want to dye my hair a color that matches my eyes as well.
Any suggestions?
Also.. i kind of want to steer clear of the real retro scene fad junk, I just want a regular hair style that will suit ME and not a label. aka no side bangs, ect.
I was also wondering if there was a hair style that would go good on me tht would show off a eye brow peircing because im getting one and i know certain peircings go with certain things.

you are going to need a scunci topsytail thingy, then you do a low loose ponytail and use the thing it works better with long hair

if you have curly hair don't cut it in layers that will make it bigger just leave it down and use gel and hair spray and add a headband or a ribbon don't put it in a ponytail while its curly cause then it will look like a Minnie Afro well good luck
1) wash and condition hair
2) blowdry while brushing through to make it sraighter
3) Apply sunsilk de-frizz creme all around (but not too much)
4) pile up into a sexy bun, leaving some strands of hair falling out
It will be stunning!

yeah it takes a long time..lol but some good stlye would be wear it natural. i do most of hte time...use a good curl defining line of products like garnier or herbal essence or noodle head or john freida...all of these work well enough...

Well, I have pretty short hair, however I have what you can call "Mini Bangs" and they are about half way past my forehead. They always curl up into little half circles which gets me so angry!!, I spend most of the time in the morning trying to get it to stay straight. Whenever it curls up, it exposes my forehead and it looks weird, like its been parted in the middle, like half and half. I don't like how it looks, it gets to my head sometimes and I go crazy about it. I want to grow my hair and grow bangs that kind of cover my forehead, kind of curled a little to the left. But if I don't straighten it, there will be spaces in my hair that will look weird and show my forehead. You can probably tell I'm pretty self concient about my hair. So can you guys help me find a way to straighten my hair without using the iron thing that the hair dressing salons use? Any help will be appreciated.

well straten your hair every morning if you love your hair that much and don't put it any where one day where it different then ask the girl you like or who is your friend which way is better.
use hair spray
Try out hair products like Brylcreem or hair gel, wax, putty, whatever you see that you like in the drugstore. A lot of the stuff will keep hair where you put it without getting sticky and gunky.
Sorry, buddy. Unless you use a flat iron (hair straightener, like in the salons) or a blow dryer, there is no way to keep your hair from curling. There are products to make it less frizzy, but it's gonna curl. I'm a girl a with bangs and pretty curly hair, so I know what you mean about bangs looking funny when they curl up. I aways straighten mine or pin them back, neither of which you seem to want to do. Try blow drying them: they won't be so curly, but they won't be so stick-straight as when you straighten them. The only drawback though is that blow drying can make your hair frizzy. Sometimes, at least with me, my hair doesn't curl as intensely when it's longer, so try growing you hair out a bit. Or just bag the whole thing and cut your hair short- if there's no bangs, they can't curl, right?

Permanent hair color is permanent, although it fades and of course it grows out. You will have to retouch the new growth at the scalp around every 6 weeks. I would go with a brand that specializes in covering grey hair, as it can be stubborn. The trick is to only color the new growth after the first application, or you will end up with drab muddy, overprocessed hair.
if i were you id just let it go grey, it will be far better in the end, when you are nearly all grey you will get really bad roots and have to do it like every 2 weeks, and it will mean you hair will be in really bad condition. Grow old gracfully is what i say
Most peoples hair grow at the average two inches every two and a half months. Right now you said you starting to show some gray hairs, so if i were you i would colour my hair the same colour as your natural colour is now. And than you wont have to die it again till you start seeing some more which will be a long time seeing as you wont be like a brunette dying their hair blond, because there natural colour is brown so even after a few weeks you will see it on her. But in your case your dying it the same colour as your natual hair colour. Unless you have all grey hair and nothing but grey hair coming from your roots than you will have to dye it every six to eight weeks. But if its just the odd one here and there, you wont have to die it for months and months. I would have to say about twice a year you would have to re touch it up..Trust me you will be happy you did it will look so good, and those greys will be gone. Even a semi permanent would work wonders for you too. Hope this helped :)
Permanent hair color is actually permanent- to the hair it is physically applied to. Any hair that grows AFTER you have applied the hair color will be it's natural color. Therefore, you would have to dye your roots as often as the regrowth becomes obvious. Most haircolor manufacturers recommend every six weeks. You could go longer if your hair grows slower or if your roots are not so different from your dyed color.
I've tried to download sims 2 hair, but when I instal it onto my game it only shows up as the black straight hair... All my other downloads work except the hair. I'd really like more choice of hairs...how can I make them work??
the straight black hair come up when it isnt installed correctly. you may not have the mesh, if not you might not have unzipped it

Take mod the sims 2 for example it will show you the site to get the mesh at the bottom of the page.

i want to spiral curl my hair but i dont know what size barrel i want to buy... can someone like show me some pictures or describe what your hair looks like with the different size barrel? my hair length is below my shoulders
It depends on the type of hair you have. I have really curly hair and I use a pretty big iron. If your hair doesn't hold very well, try curling a 1"-2" section, and before it cools, roll it back up with your hands and bobby pin it to your head. Do this to your whole head the cover with hair spray. When taking out the bobby pins, start at the base and work your way to the top. When hair is hot, its "move-able". When you let it cool in a position, it will hold much better. that's why blow dryers have the "cool shot"...to help lower frizzies and hold better. Good luck!
A one-inch ceramic curling iron will give you pretty curls, a 1 1/4 inch will give you big waves. Conair makes nice affordable curling irons. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures! Good luck.
you should probably get a one inch or smaller barrel cause any bigger wont produce spirals...they have a bunch of different ones at target and i remember seeing one sepcifically for spiral curls i think it was by conair.

Your bangs would look best with a light shorter fringe underneath and the side bangs blended into them, possibly w/ a face frame and some layers, the shorter your layers the thicker your hair will look!
