Laser Hair Removal for Legs???

I want to know everything you know about laser hair removal on the legs. Have you tried it? How much would it cost for just the legs? How long would it take? How long would it last?

I have very thick dark hair on my legs, and I've tried all different kinds of hair removal products...Nair just doesn't do it. Waxing is out of the question...Shaving irritates my skin no matter how I do it, razor bumps always show up and stubble shows up within about 12 hrs I'd say. Help!

Laser Hair Removal for Legs???

I have done laser hair removal, not on the legs though, but depends if you want to do the whole leg or just half of the leg. But also different places charge different prices.

For both legs though, it might take about 30min or so to get the treatment. You go in every 10wks or so since your hair grows in cycles. So when you go in the first time, you will only get the hairs that are growing, and then the next time, it will get the next cycle of hairs.

You can not go tanning or anything when you are getting this done. Your skin will be irritated for a couple days afterwards, and you might think it looks worse, but in reality it will go away, put cold water on it or a wash cloth afterwards and some cream. When you wash, you can literaly see your hair go bye bye. Its amazing. The first few weeks you will notice your hair wont grow, but after about 4wks to 6wks you will notice that your hair will start to grow, but not as much, which means that these are the next cycle of hair that will be destroyed when you go in.

And they say that laser hair is forever since it kills the ROOT of the hair. But things like horomones can make OTHER roots of hair to grow back, but its gauranteed to not grow back. Many places will give you two free sessions afterwards incase there are some stragglers that wanted to stay a live.

Good luck. Its worth it in my opinion!

My mom tried it. It works pretty well, her skin was a little red but it all went away. On average, it gets rid of hair for about 3 years, but if you're lucky, it might never grow back.

Laser Hair Removal for Legs???

It is very expensive and varies from country to country. I'm in Australia so I don't know if the price would be relevant. It is permanent but you need to have several treatments over a few weeks. I say if you can afford it, do it!

EXPENSIVE and requires multiple treatments for months to show a difference. The thicker and courser the hair the more treatments required. I dont know how much money you have to work with but my chin had a few course hairs after menopause and it cost me over a grand...

i would say about $200-$700. it would take about 6 treatments.

Laser Hair Removal for Legs???

Laser is not permanent hair removal, it is permanent hair reduction. You said your hair is thick and dark then I suggest go for it because your type of hair is the best candidate for laser. You should have at least six treatments and it will cost you not less than $399 (depending on the city you live in) and this is per session. The pain is like a rubber band pulling your hair. There is no certainty that it will work for you ( this will be depending on the person who will give you the treatment. So I suggest to find a good one because you might spend a lot of money if some just don't know what they were doing. Good luck!!!

My wife has had the treatment and it worked great for her. You sound like you are a good candidate. For Full Legs, you can anticipate a cost of $300 to $450 per treatment. You can expect to have 5-6 treatments spaced 6 to 12 weeks apart.

Good luck....the sites below list providers and gives pricing for different parts of the country if you call them. The 2nd site rates providers according to guest surveys.
